MODERN VIDYA NIKETAN SCHOOL, ARAVALI HILLS
The Interact Club team of Modern Vidya Niketan Aravali Hills successfully conducted an impactful Anti-Bullying Campaign for students of Classes VI and VII, presided over by Interact Club President Akshita Gupta, with the active participation of the entire Interact team.
The session began with an insightful address by Dr Neeta Bali, Academic Director of the school. She sensitively highlighted the serious aspects of bullying, its emotional and psychological impact on students, and stressed the importance of empathy, respect, and moral courage. Dr Bali encouraged students to speak up against bullying, support their peers, and seek help without fear.
The campaign featured a powerful Nukkad Natak, creatively performed by the Interact members. Through relatable characters and real-life situations, the street play showcased various forms of bullying—verbal, physical, emotional, and cyberbullying—and highlighted the harmful consequences of such behaviour on young minds.
To further engage the students, a Green and Red Card Activity was conducted to gather feedback on students’ notions of bullying. Students actively participated by identifying acceptable behaviour and bullying actions, which helped them reflect on their own conduct and peer interactions.
The Interact team also provided a clear and structured explanation of key concerns related to bullying, including emotional trauma, loss of self-esteem, fear, social isolation, and the responsibility of bystanders to intervene or report bullying incidents.
The session concluded with a strong message promoting kindness, inclusivity, and mutual respect, reinforcing the school’s commitment to maintaining a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment. The Anti-Bullying Campaign proved to be meaningful, engaging, and impactful, empowering students to stand united against bullying.
Students are also encouraged to organize social awareness campaigns for various causes like literacy, save nature, help the needy etc. Students visit Old age homes, orphanages and NGOs like Goonj etc. They spend quality time with the senior citizens and little children understanding their needs and perspective. Our students have stepped forward in dire circumstances like Kerala floods to contribute towards relief programmes. The students are also sensitized towards environmental protection programmes. The school is associated with TERI and the students voluntarily contribute towards recycling and waste management. Being a part of these campaigns mould our children into responsible citizens of the society.
