The assembly began with a quote by Mahatma Gandhi ji - “be the change you want to see in the world “. The students then presented, thought of the day and news. They also shared an interesting scientific fact that “ ostriches can run faster than horses and male ostriches can roar like lions.” Students than briefed about importance of friendship and passed on the information about international friendship day. They shared that it is celebrated to promote peace in diverse cultures. Friendship day is an UN day which is celebrated on 30th July every year. Though in few countries like India, it is celebrated on first Sunday of August. A group of students also presented an action song. It was than culminated by inviting teachers to share their views about friendship.
