MVN student visited Korean Cultural Centre

Students of grades IV , V and VI of MVN visited Korean Cultural Centre, Embassy of the Republic of Korea (popularly known as South Korea) on the occasion of “Dano Day” also called as “Suri-nal” on 9th May, 2014.This festival is celebrated in Korea at the end of their sowing season.
A few movies related to the culture of Korea were screened in their auditorium. A movie based on the true life story of Dr. Hur Jun was really inspiring. The Korean Culture Experience room provided a holistic experience of the traditions of Korea. Students took photographs wearing traditional Korean dress (Hanbok). A demonstration of Ssireum or Korean wrestling was also given by their experts. Students participated in quiz and bracelet (Jangmyungloo) making activities. Opportunity to savor the rich taste of traditional Korean cuisine brought charm and warmth of Korean Culture. The students and faculty of MVN thanked the director Mr. Kim Kum Pyoung for giving a wonderful opportunity by presenting a beautiful handmade card.
