MVN lays utmost emphasis on child safety. Apart from providing foolproof security surveillance, the school also organizes child safety workshops to educate the students about child abuse. To educate the children about this hazardous crime, a workshop was organized for primary students at MVN , Sector-17 on 3rd November, 17. In today’s time when there is no limit to exposure, no restraint on what people watch and do, the children can be badly exploited. To spread awareness on ‘Protection of Children from Sexual Offence’ (POCSO) Act, a workshop was organized at MVN Sector -17 on 24th October, 2017 for the primary students. Through this workshop the students were educated about the safety measures to protect themselves from getting exploited and raising their voice at anything that violates their dignity.


Personality Development Programmes are conducted in the school to benefit students in dealing with the challenges of the outside world more effectively and efficiently. Various aspects of personality development like ‘Determination’, ’Confidence’, ‘Communication & Public Speaking’, ‘Body Language’, ‘Fear & Self Belief, ’Anger Management’ and basic tips on grooming of personality were discussed which would help them to build and develop relationships, help in career growth and also help to develop a positive attitude in life. The Personality development Programme has been added to the curriculum with an aim to inculcate positive qualities like punctuality, flexible attitude, willingness to learn, friendly nature, eagerness to help other, boosting one’s confidence, improving communication and overall imbibing oneself with positivity, liveliness and peace.


MVN is not only a pioneer in the field of education but believes in overall development, safety and security of its students and staff. A safe learning environment is essential for students of all age groups so that they may focus on learning the skills needed for the academic growth and a bright future. To sensitize and prepare the students and staff for any natural disaster or emergency that might unfortunately occur, a quick response in such situations is required not only to minimize the damage but also to save precious lives. Our fire safety expert has been conducting ‘SAFETY’ programmes on different topics like safety behaviour, fire safety, first aid, disaster management, rescue & moving of victims, road safety and general safety including indoor activities and practical session from time to time.


On April 12, 2017, the school counsellor along with 5 students attended a workshop organized by Fortis Mental Health Faridabad on Media Literacy.This is a peer education program where the trainers at Fortis groom students from various schools on a particular topic and then these peer moderators spread the learning among other students in their respective schools. It is a great opportunity for students to show leadership, learn team work, hone their communication skills and build confidence as the workshop is all activity based.The same workshop was later conducted with the students of IX and X in the school. About 300 students attended it and the takeaways of the workshop organized by the Fortis Hospital was discussed with the students thus benefiting all of them.


MVN, Sector 17 organized a workshop for the teachers on ‘Stress Management’. It was conducted by Mr. Aman Kohli. on 22nd May 2017 Rhythmic clapping gave a good start to the workshop. Mr. Kohli urged the audience to live in the present. He gave examples of famous personalities like Dheerubhai Ambani, Amitabh Bachchan , Milkha Singh and Mahatma Gandhi who took problems as challenges. He also said that situations are not stressful, our response makes them so. Stress is created by our mind. It’s only a figment of our imagination. He also suggested some ways like meditation to manage stress. It was a great endeavour towards experiential learning.
