Modern Vidya Niketan, Sector – 17, Faridabad, organized their maiden MUN edition on 27-28 October 2017. The Honourable Commissioner of Police, Faridabad, Dr. Hanif Quereshi, graced the occasion and addressed an august gathering. Rohan Jain of Class - XII, the Secretary General INNERVE MUN Society and Mehul Sehgal of Class -XI the Director General along with their effervescent team left no stone unturned in organizing & co-ordinating it to their best. Innerve MUN hosted five committees – UNGA, UNHR, UNSC, the Historical Committee of Special Meeting by Prime Minister and The International Press covered ‘the confluence’. Many eminent persons from various fields held deliberations stimulating the young minds with their enriching experiences. On October 28, the valedictory ceremony saw Ryan School walking away with Best School Delegation Trophy.


The Annual cultural fest “MIRAS” was held on 11th November 2017 at Modern Vidya Niketan Sec – 17 Faridabad. This year the objective was yet again keeping the young generation deeply rooted to their rich heritage, as the leitmotif “MIRAS” depicts.
Several reputed schools in the city enthusiastically came forward to participate in this inter–school meet based on the concept of nine ‘RASAS’ namely love (Shrinagar), Humour or Laughter (Hasya), Wonder and Amazement (Adbhut), Peace (Shanta), Anger (Roudra), Courage and Heroism (Veera), Compassion and Pity (Karuna), Fear (Bhayanaka) and Disgust (Vibhatsa). All venues were decorated based on their specific thoughts.
The children enjoyed themselves thoroughly as they showcased their talents in all the four levels of the competition. The participating teams beautifully depicted the emotion allotted to them through their creative expressions in the form of group dance, play, self composed song with narration or ‘gatha’ street art (graffiti) and epified/epigram: narration with sketch. And they were well scrutinised by an illustrious bench of Jury.
Eicher School Faridabad bagged the overall trophy.The annual cultural fest – MIRAS was a grand success in its endeavour to rejuvenate the glorious Indian tradition.
